A little bit of background info:

I’m based in sunny Cape Town, South Africa, and I’m a qualified Paramedic with more than 19 years of experience across EMS operations, management, and hostile environments. Those years have shaped my ability to stay focused and decisive under pressure. Alongside my medical career, I hold a Law Degree and have a genuine passion for the legal world – even the endless reading that comes with it.

I’m a family man with two young daughters, a committed sports fan (especially when the mighty Springboks are playing), and someone who trains every day. A good workout is non-negotiable.

A little bit about your current role:

In my role as Governance & Compliance Coordinator, I support the organisation’s alignment with ISO27001 by compiling and organising evidence for internal audits and ensuring we stay ahead of changes in UK data protection legislation. I provide administrative and compliance support to the Executive Leadership Team across Data Sharing Agreements and Data Protection Impact Assessments, and I maintain the central register of risks and incidents.

I also prepare data security information for tenders, collate contract details for new clients, and organise Standard Operating Procedures into a coherent, centralised library. When required, I support the Finance Director with additional administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
