A bit of background information
After leaving accountancy practice in the early 1990s, I spent seven fantastic years working in international yacht racing. Since then, most of my career has been spent in senior finance roles within the hospitality sector, with a particular focus on turning loss-making businesses into profitable, sustainable enterprises.
Outside work, I live in rural Devon with my husband and our numerous dogs. I also have a grown-up, horse-mad daughter, and I enjoy supporting her with her two horses. I love walking on Dartmoor and am also a fence judge for British Eventing. During the long winter evenings on Dartmoor, I spend my time writing somewhat edgy romantic novels.
A little bit about my current role
I recently joined Air to lead the company’s finance function, and I’m really enjoying the opportunity to support the business as it continues to grow. My role is varied, covering everything from payments and invoicing through to providing clear financial insight for the Board of Directors and senior leadership team. I’m also closely involved in budgeting and forecasting, helping to give the business the information it needs to plan with confidence.
